At Wolgast Mushrooms we are celebrating our mushroom farm, and our recent wedding. We were married on August 22, 2020. We are each others true love, and so are our mushrooms.
we are also animal lovers and share our home with 3 dogs; Helmut, Seven and Grace and 5 cats; Sampson, Delilah, Princess, Meow Meow and Clover. We love the outdoors and we are HUGE Dave Matthews fans and go to as many of their concerts as possible; Ben is up about 100 and I have been to about 20 give or take. We live in a suburb of Detroit, MI called Berkley and really love the small town feel of our city. We love our neighborhood and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Our family is MOST important to us and love an excuse to get together with them.
The way we got into mushrooms farming is truly Ben's vision; he is a landscaper by trade and loves plants and all things nature. He began researching what it would take to start a mushroom farm about 2 years ago and BOOM here we are. We grow several different kinds of mushrooms; Golden Oyster, Black Trumpet & King Trumpet Oysters, Summer White Oyster, Grey Dove Oyster and we are currently starting to also grow Lion's Mane, Pioppini and Chestnut.
